I’m not into politics. I don’t LIKE talking about politics because to discuss politics I feel like I have to give up some of my humanity.

but I wanna address the attitude of people dismissing the genuine fear that people have regarding the cheddar cheese man winning the election.

First of all, the people who are neutral or excited about the apocalyptic presidency cheering for change is undoubtedly in the position where they are not touched by these changes. People who respond positively or neutrally about about the election results watch the world burn like it’s Saturday cartoon because they don’t live in it. But for those who do live the nightmares they are allowed to be fearful and stressed over the outcome of the future, or one they might not have. You do not have the jurisdiction to justify or dismiss people’s reaction whose bridges are hung over fire while you float on cloud nine.

Secondly, while the orange man may not be able to unleash his apocalyptic plans over america, people are allowed to mourn over what his win means to the country. He is a monument of America’s sleeping giant that is the white supremacy and bigoted mindset that half of American voters rectified. The fact that he won is just a shadow cast onto the marginalized groups of America reminding them that racism, sexism, etc is alive and well. The people of America is allowed to mourn not because of him specifically, but what he represents. Dismissal of this fear saying “he won’t even be able to do anything,” is irrelevant because he has already done something and that is reigniting the bigotry that is within the American people.

Lastly, people are allowed to cut ties with “people with differing opinions” if those opinions boils down to stripping others of basic rights as a human being. At this point, “opinion” is a vanilla description of what could easily be malicious intents. Why would anyone criticize others for cutting contact with those who deny them of basic human rights?

Arguments like “now is not the time to be divided” in an attempt to bring non-Trumpkin supporters closer to their counterparts should not even exist considering America’s always been divided. How do you think pumpkin man won the election?

Without guilt-tripping, people are allowed to react negatively to this election’s outcome. The people who like to watch the world burn are those who not live in it.

With that being said, people with superiority complex in “rationalizing” the situation to being “not as bad as it is,” not in comfort of others but to invalidate their reaction, are not as “rational” as they seem. Not “intellectual” enough to see outside the scopes of their floating island of safety and thus can be dismissed altogether.

TL;DR: people care about things that affect them. Stay in your damn lane and let people react to shit that matters to them before you break that fucking glass slipper of white ego that you stand on.
